What's the difference between the Summit on 5/3 and BarCamp Sarasota-Bradenton on 5/4?
What's the difference between the Summit at the Riverwalk 2013 and BarCamp? Night and Day! The Summit is for leaders from around the state in business, technology, education and funding who want to see a broader perspective of what is going on in economic development. Big picture! The panels are chosen. There is a keynote speaker at lunch and there is a cost to attend. Reasonable for the content at $85. However if you are looking for free, this is not it.

BarCamp Sarasota gets a name change
BarCamp Sarasota gets a name change to Bar Camp Sarasota-Bradenton. WHY? 
As we have worked to build the community that has become BarCamp Sarasota-Bradenton, we are so much more than any specific geographical boundaries. Going on our 5th year, we as a community cover multiple platforms and include several thousand people and extend well across Florida and into other states.
This Spring as we launch the first event titled "Riverwalk 2013"...the Bradenton location warrants inclusion in name and not just practice.

BarCamp Sarasota Fall Event 2012 ...get the details
It’s almost time for BarCamp Sarasota’s Fall 2012 event. Come join BCSRQ as the first public group into the recently rehabbed GWIZ Science museum. Not a place just for kids, GWIZ offers a one of the kind resource for the Southeast United States in the Fabrication and Design lab modeled after the Bits and Atoms Lab of MIT.
